SCHOOL COMMUNITY LIAISON (Formerly Member at Large)

Term: 1 year | Openings: 3

 

If you love planning fun events and lending a hand wherever it’s needed, this is the perfect fit!
As a School Community Liaison, you’ll:

  • Help plan and support events like the Pumpkin Festival, Holiday Bazaar, Bingo Night, Ice Cream Social, and more

  • Jump in to support board activities and initiatives

  • Be a key connector between families, staff, and the school community

Perfect for someone who’s organized, enthusiastic, and loves creating memorable moments. No experience needed—just a team spirit and a can-do attitude!


TEACHER APPRECIATION & SUPPORT COORDINATOR (Formerly Member at Large)

Term: 1 year | Openings: 2 (1 returning member interested)

 

Celebrate and support the amazing teachers and staff who make our schools special!
In this role, you’ll:

  • Plan thoughtful appreciation events (like treat carts, lunches, and notes!)

  • Organize small surprises to boost morale throughout the year

  • Coordinate donations and volunteers, especially during Teacher Appreciation Week

  • Manage the Teacher “Think Big” Grant Program

Ideal for someone who loves spreading kindness and making a difference behind the scenes. No experience required—just creativity and a big heart!


CURRICULUM ENRICHMENT DIRECTOR

Term: 2 years | Openings: 1 at Fuller Meadow; 2 at Howe-Manning (HM has interest from current board members)

 

Help bring exciting learning experiences to our students through in-school programs and field trips!
As a CE Director, you’ll:

  • Collaborate with teachers to align programs with curriculum

  • Coordinate ALL logistics, including buses and nurse coverage

  • Manage CE budgets for grade-levels and schools

  • Organize enriching, meaningful experiences for kids

Great for someone organized, communicative, and passionate about learning. No prior experience needed!


COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR

Term: 2 years | Openings: 1 (interest from current board member)

 

Love sharing info and keeping people in the loop? This one’s for you!
As Communications Director, you’ll:

  • Manage PTO communications, including social media and the website

  • Share updates via newsletters, flyers, and posts

  • Help ensure families and staff are always informed

  • New this year - will be joining a returning board member

Perfect for someone who enjoys writing, organizing, or content creation. No design background needed—just good communication skills and a team mindset!


TREASURER


Term: 2 years | Openings:


Help keep our PTO financially strong and organized!

In this role, you’ll:

  • Manage the PTO’s budget and financial records

  • Track income and expenses for events and programs

  • Prepare monthly financial reports and annual tax filings

  • Keep things transparent and running smoothly behind the scenes

Perfect for someone who’s detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable with numbers (basic spreadsheet skills are a plus!). No need to be a CPA—training and support are available!

Make a big impact by keeping our mission funded and focused.


SECRETARY

Term: 1 year | Openings: 1 (interest from current board member)

 

Help keep everything on track behind the scenes!
As the Secretary, you’ll:

  • Take clear and concise notes at meetings

  • Organize PTO documents and calendars

  • Support communication and planning across the board

A great role for someone who’s detail-oriented, organized, and enjoys being in the know. No experience needed—just a love for structure!


VICE PRESIDENT

Term: 2 years | Requirement: Previous board experience (interest from current board member)

 

Support, lead, and help everything run smoothly.
In this role, you’ll:

  • Collaborate with the President and board to plan initiatives

  • Step in to lead projects and meetings when needed

  • Help coordinate volunteers and events

Great for someone organized, flexible, and ready to jump in and make a difference.


PRESIDENT

Term: 2 years | Requirement: Previous board experience (interest from current board member)

 

Lead the charge and help shape the PTO’s vision!
As President, you’ll:

  • Lead meetings and collaborate with staff, families, and the board

  • Oversee PTO activities, events, budgeting, and communications

  • Be a go-to resource and positive leader in the school community
