Middleton PTO Newsletter - Volume 1, Issue 9, November 2023
Message from the MPTO President

It's hard to believe that it is November already, we've had 45 days of school and the holidays will be here soon! Our gift card fundraiser and Spirit Wear store will hopefully make your holiday shopping easier.

We are excited to begin planning some new events and would love to get more parents involved. From a Kids Craft Fair to a spring social - come to our meeting on November 15th to learn more or let us know if you would like to help out! As always, send an email to ptomiddleton@gmail.com with any questions!

MPTO Board Seat Open!

Due to a board member accepting a position within our schools, we have an open board seat. This Member-at-Large position will be expected to attend board meetings and assist with various PTO programs throughout the remainder of the school year. Anyone interested in the role will need to submit a letter of intent to ptomiddleton@gmail.com by November 15, 2023.  A vote will take place at our November meeting.  Please reach out to anyone on the board with questions.

Reminder that ALL parents/guardians and teachers are welcome to get involved, join a committee and/or attend our meetings! Our regular elections will be held this spring for next year's open board seats.

GIFTCARD ORDERS DUE 11/10!

LAST WEEK IN CURRICULUM ENRICHMENT
6th Grade Discovery Museum Program

The Discovery Museum presented their Physical Changes of Matter II workshop to our 6th grade students.  Investigating the physical properties of solids, liquids, and gases has never been so much fun as students got the opportunity to conduct several dry ice experiments. Special thanks to our parent volunteers for helping out!

Project Spotlight

In October, Mrs. Deeley and Mrs. Nasser brought a small group of 5th graders to the Masscue Conference at Gillette Stadium. The students helped present a session on the Bare Conductive Interactive Boards that were created in 3rd grade. The session was called Building a Sense of Belonging with Interactive Murals. The MPTO and Anderson Woodworking funded this project 2 years ago and we are so thrilled to see the work still being shared across teacher networks!  What an incredible opportunity for the students as well!
