Message from the MPTO President

November is flying by! In this month of gratitude, we would like to say a sincere THANK YOU to the principals, staff, teachers and parents/guardians for partnering with us to help make this year a great one for our students and school community! We are truly grateful to be working with all of you!

I'm pleased to announce that our open Board Position has been filled by Annie Melia. Annie and her family moved to Middleton last year and have twin boys in Kindergarten at Fuller Meadow. She has a passion for volunteering and a background in communications. We are thrilled to have her join the MPTO Board and hope you'll join us in congratulating her!

On behalf of the MPTO, I'd like to wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving. Hopefully many of our families will participate in the Middleton Turkey Trot - it's a such a fun event! Register at www.middletonturkeytrot.org!

CURRICULUM ENRICHMENT NEWS
Museum of Science Field Trips

Our 1st & 6th Graders had exciting field trips to the Museum of Science! They had the opportunity to experience all of the exhibits and hand-son activities that the museum has to offer. In addition, students got to see out of this world shows at the Charles Hayden Planetarium! Such incredible days!

5th Grade Discovery Museum Program

The Discovery Museum presented their Chemistry lab workshop to our 5th graders last week!  Students experienced colorful chemical reactions, sparked creative scientific explorations and built understanding as students explored safely with familiar everyday chemicals.  Be sure to ask your student what they thought of this hands-on program!

Project Spotlight

In October, Mrs. Deeley and Mrs. Nasser brought a small group of 5th graders to the Masscue Conference at Gillette Stadium. The students helped present a session on the Bare Conductive Interactive Boards that were created in 3rd grade. The session was called Building a Sense of Belonging with Interactive Murals. The MPTO and Anderson Woodworking funded this project 2 years ago and we are so thrilled to see the work still being shared across teacher networks!  What an incredible opportunity for the students as well!
