Thank you to everyone who joined us at McDonald's - they donated $550 to us! 

With all the exciting upcoming events, it's hard to believe that we are already starting to think about next year.  Our board elections are quickly approaching and we are looking for interested individuals to join us! 

The Board recently shared about our new grant program for teachers to apply for funding for special projects, programs and training to benefit our students' learning experience.  Our approved applicants are below and we have already started to see the benefit of some of the funding.

Finally, Teacher/Staff Appreciation week is quickly approaching, and we would love some parent volunteers to help us! Congratulations to Julie Klipfel, Eileen Mulligan, Susan Jones and the 1st Grade team, Catie Nasser and Kristen LeVangie and the 2nd Grade Team! We are thrilled with our 1st round of applications and can't wait to see how these projects impact our students!

The first grant we want to Highlight is Empowering Young Minds: Enhancing STEM and Coding Literacy, submitted by Eileen Mulligan: 

As the heart of our educational community, the Howe Manning Library fosters a love for reading, inquiry, and exploration among our students. As we navigate the increasingly digital landscape, it's imperative to equip our young learners with the foundational skills necessary for success in the 21st century. With the award of this grant, we will enhance our library's collection with a focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), and Coding books to inspire and empower them to become future innovators and problem solvers. 

We hope many Howe Manning students will benefit from these books for years to come!
